Revamped Plot Toolbar

Last October I added a toolbar for Chaco plots. It was functional, but it wasn’t very pretty. I decided to rewrite it from scratch, with emphasis on improving the appearance and improving the auto-hide feature.

The new toolbar also employs a new feature to Enable: gradients! Gradient support is still a work in progress, but improving daily.

If I remember correctly (without looking at the original posting) this is SVG? It looks very nice, looking forwrad to using it.

This one uses png’s for speed reasons- if you have a tool which draws on the canvas (such as any of the selection tools), then every mouse movement causes all of the paths to redraw. The icons don’t change appearance, so we just load them into memory and blit then during redraws.

The auto-hide is the nicest improvement. The old one was invisible until the mouse moved over it, then it suddenly appeared. The new auto-hide rolls up into the top of the canvas, then when your mouse moves over it, it slides down.
